Twisting

Twisting the yarn helps protect the fiber bundle. Aids in stabilizing the yarn properties and provides added strength. It helps improve process ability in both Beaver's and the customer's process to enhance the final hose properties.

Beaver's twisting capabilities include ring twisting, doubling for plied yarns and our 2 for 1 twisters for plied yarns.

Examples of Twist directions

  • Z Twist – Twist helix points upward to the right.  Most common twist used for single end and plied yarn twist.
  • S Twist – Twist helix points upward to the left.  Mainly used in sewing thread and tire cord cabled constructions.
