Larry King Retires
On January 30, 2009 Larry King retired from Beaver after 27 years of service. For 24 years Larry served as the
Quality Control Manager and he was the Maintenance Supervisor for his last 3 years. Larry was a second generation
Beaver. His father, Kenneth, helped Mr. Needham start Beaver and worked until 1988.
Prior to his employment with Beaver, Larry worked 10 years at
Southeastern Railroad. He also served 2 years with the US Army including
a year’s tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from the
military with the rank of Sergeant.
In his retirement, Larry plans to initially fish,
hunt and relax and eventually maybe pick up
some part-time work. He also is looking forward
to more time with his two sons and two
grandchildren who live in the Covington area.
As his career comes to an end, we wish Larry and his wife, Patti, all the best for many
years of happy retirement.
