Jim Wilson Retires

On March 2, 2007 Jim Wilson (affectionately known at Beaver as J.W.) retired after forty six years in the textile and hard goods businesses, the last twelve being with Beaver Manufacturing Company.

A native of Tennessee, he graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. in Accounting.

At graduation, he was commissioned into the Regular Army and achieved the rank of Captain serving the Infantry and Finance Corp in Europe and Third Army Headquarters at Ft. McPherson.

J.W. began his business career with E.I. Dupont at the Chattanooga nylon facility working in computerizing scheduling, costing, payroll, and credit union functions.

He also worked for Magic Chef / Maytag as MIS director. In 1975 he joined Miller Brothers Industries / USA Enterprises in Conyers as Treasurer and later became VP - Finance and Administration.

In 1995, J.W. joined Beaver as Controller and has been involved in finance, treasury management, MIS, and human relations activities.

As a long and notable career comes to an end, we wish J.W. and his wife, Rebecca, all the best for many years of happy retirement.
