Jim Wilson Retires
On
March 2, 2007 Jim Wilson (affectionately known at Beaver as J.W.)
retired after forty six years in the textile and hard goods businesses,
the last twelve being with Beaver Manufacturing Company.
A native of Tennessee, he graduated from Tennessee Technological
University with a B.S. in Accounting.
At graduation, he was commissioned into the Regular Army and achieved
the rank of Captain serving the Infantry and Finance Corp in Europe
and Third Army Headquarters at Ft. McPherson.
J.W. began his business career with E.I. Dupont at the Chattanooga
nylon facility working in computerizing scheduling, costing, payroll,
and credit union functions.
He also worked for Magic Chef / Maytag as MIS director. In 1975
he joined Miller Brothers Industries / USA Enterprises in Conyers
as Treasurer and later became VP - Finance and Administration.
In 1995, J.W. joined Beaver as Controller and has been involved
in finance, treasury management, MIS, and human relations activities.
As a long and notable career comes to an end, we wish J.W. and his
wife, Rebecca, all the best for many years of happy retirement. |
